By : Brayan Tobar , Shirley Gonzales and Mohammed Tropical forests is known by diversity of species in it. The rain forest occur near the equator, within the area bounded by latitudes 23.5 degrees N and 23.5 degrees S. One of the major characteristics of tropical forests is their distinct seasonality: winter is absent, and only two seasons are present (rainy and dry). The length of daylight is 12 hours and varies little.
Amazon Rain Forest
The Amazon located in Brazil , also known as Amazonia, is one of the world's greatest natural resources because of it's vegetation. Amazon receives about 9 feet of rain every year, 50% of this returns to the atmosphere between //June and October, the water level rises by 30 to 45 feet. Tens of millions of acres of rainforest are covered by water as the flood advances, reaching as far inland from the main channel as 12 miles. High temperatures and the amount of rain are the same throughout the year in Amazon. The climate is warm and humid, with average temperatures around 79° F. The difference between day and night time temperatures is greater than those between seasons.

Brazilian Logging
Brazilian deforestation is strongly correlated to the economic health of the country: the decline in deforestation from 1988-1991 nicely matched the economic slowdown during the same period, while the rocketing rate of deforestation from 1993-1998 . During lean times, ranchers and developers do not have the cash to rapidly expand their pasturelands and operations, while the government lacks funds to sponsor highways and colonization programs and grant tax breaks and subsidies to forest exploiters.
Amazon Rainforest: Deforestation
Destruction of the Amazon Rainforest due to logging is causing a major depletion of the forests.
Logging does not cause anything bad to happen in the rain forest. The logging in the rain forest causes animals to loose their homes but brings back new rich land that can help new species survive.
There is sustainable logging in the amazon rainforest.Logging is when trees are cut down and there are still little trees to grow and reproduce more.Logging is the most important form of rainforest degradation and destruction.
